What We Believe and Teach About God

We believe and teach that there is one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who has revealed Himself in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14), yet one in being, essence, power, and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (John 10:30).

The father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Eternal Godhead--see Romans 1:20) are all co-eternal, all stand equally superior to time, free from the temporal distinctions of past and future. For the Eternal Father (see Genesis 12:33; Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; 102:27; 1 Timothy 1:17). For the Eternal Son (see Micah 5:2; John 1:1-2; 8:58; Hebrews 1:8;1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8). For the Eternal Spirit (Hebrews 9:14).

We also believe and teach that God is Spirit (John 4:24). He is Eternal (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2). He is Infinite (1 Timothy 1:17). He is Sovereign (Psalm 93:1). He is Unsearchable (Romans 11:33-34). He is omniscient (Psalm 139:1-6). He is Omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-13). He is Omnipotent (Revelation 19:6). He is Unchanging (Malachi 3:6). He is Holy (Isaiah 6:3). He is Truth, and Just (Deuteronomy 32:4). He is Righteous (Exodus 9:27). He is Love (1 John 4:8). He is Gracious (Ephesians 2:8). He is Merciful (1 Peter 1:3). He is Good (Psalm 145:7-9; Romans 8:28).

We truly believe and teach that God is worthy of adoration, praise, and obedience. We acknowledge Him as Creator and Ruler of all things, visible and invisible. In Him, we live and move and have our being (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Colossians 1:16).
