WHY WE SHOULD PRAISE GOD

Psalm 103 - 105

The Bible teaches us that God is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnibenevolent, and Omnipresent. He is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving, and everywhere present. This means God sees and knows everything—everything that ever was or ever will be—everything about us, even to the number of hairs on our heads. He is with us through every situation we find ourselves, in every trial—protecting, providing, loving, and guiding us. He knows and loves us completely. In fact, He cares deeply for us His people, and does not want to see any of us suffer. His greatest gift is to allow us to know Him.

God’s love for us is truly overwhelming. It is evident throughout the Bible. We can get a human sense of this love when we think about how much we love our family members—how much we love our mother, father, spouse, child, brother, or sister. But God's love goes much deeper than that—it is without conditions and without end. As the Bible points out, He loved us so much that while we were still sinners, He offered His son Jesus Christ to die for us. It pains Him when we rebel and go against His word or against His Son who sacrificed His life for our sake.

For these reasons and more . . .

  • Let us, therefore, exalt our Savior God, and King.

  • Let us praise Him every day and forever with our whole hearts.

  • Let us tell our friends, neighbors, co-workers, children, and loved ones of His mighty acts, so they too will proclaim His power.

  • Let us meditate on His majestic, glorious splendor and His wonderful miracles.

  • Let His awe-inspiring deeds be on our tongue.

  • Let us proclaim His greatness, share the story of His wonderful goodness, and sing with joy about His righteousness.

  • For great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!

  • No one can measure His greatness.

Know these facts . . .

  • The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry, and filled with unfailing love.

  • The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all His creation.

  • The Lord always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does.

  • The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

  • The eyes of all look to the Lord in hope and He gives them their food as they need it.

  • When the Lord opens His hand, He satisfies the hunger and thirst of every living thing.

  • The Lord is righteous in everything He does; He is filled with kindness.

  • The Lord protects all those who love Him, but He destroys the wicked.

  • The Lord is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth.

  • He grants the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them.

A reminder . . .

  • Let us praise the Lord always, and bless His holy name forever and ever.

  • The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him.

  • He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases.

  • He redeems us from death and crowns us with love and tender mercies.

  • He fills our lives with good things.

  • He gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly.

  • He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.

  • He does not punish us for all our sins.

  • He does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.

  • He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. For He knows how weak we are; He remembers we are only dust.

  • Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone—as though we had never been here.

  • But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear Him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to His covenant, of those who obey His commandments!

  • May we never forget the good things the Lord does for us.

  • Let us Praise the Lord, everything He has created, everything in all His kingdom.

  • Let all that we are praise the Lord God Almighty—our Father and Creator of the heavens and the earth. Amen.

Blessings!!!
