What the Lord Jesus Requires from Christians:

  • Let love be without hypocrisy.

  • Hate what is evil. Cleave to what is good.

  • Be devoted to one another with brotherly love.

  • Prefer one another in honor.

  • Do not be lazy in diligence.

  • Be fervent in spirit.

  • Serve the Lord.

  • Rejoice in hope.

  • Be patient in suffering.

  • Persevere in prayer.

  • Contribute to the needs of the saints.

  • Practice hospitality.

  • Bless those who persecute you.

  • Bless, and do not curse.

  • Rejoice with those who rejoice.

  • Weep with those who weep.

  • Be of the same mind toward one another.

  • Do not be haughty.

  • Associate with the lowly.

  • Do not pretend to be wiser than you are.

  • Repay no one evil for evil.

  • Commend what is honest in the sight of all men.

  • If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

  • Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine. I will repay,” says the Lord.

  • If your enemy is hungry, feed him.

  • If your enemy is thirsty, give him a drink, for in doing so you will heap coals of fire on his head.

  • Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

  • Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are appointed by God.

  • Pay taxes.

  • Render to all what is due them: taxes to whom taxes are due, respect to whom respect is due, fear to whom fear is due, and honor to whom honor is due.

  • Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

  • Take off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.

  • Behave properly, as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in immorality and wickedness, not in strife and envy.

  • Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts.

  • Do not judge your brother critically. Welcome him who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of arguing over opinions.

  • Do not let him who eats despise him who does not eat, and do not let him who does not eat judge him who eats, for God has welcomed him.

  • Do not make your brother stumble. Determine not to put a stumbling block or an obstacle in a brother’s way.

  • Welcome one another just as Christ also welcomed us, for the glory of God.

  • Please others, not yourself.

  • Remember, each of us shall give an account of himself to God.

Blessings!!!
